In a bid to nurture young talent interested in international relations, the European Union (EU) Delegation to Eritrea is delighted to announce its Funded Traineeship Program for 2024. This program presents a unique chance for young graduates to immerse themselves in the dynamic field of diplomatic missions, understand how the EU represents its interests and values in Eritrea, and actively contribute to the delegation’s activities.

Internship Responsibilities:
Selected trainees will have the opportunity to:
– Assist in organizing meetings and events hosted at the Delegation
– Conduct documentary research as necessary
– Support the Head of the PPI section and the press officer in various activities
– Collaborate with other staff members when required
– Draft minutes of meetings
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
– Reside in Eritrea due to the current situation in the country
– Hold a degree in political science, international relations, law, or economics, or demonstrate a strong background in one of these fields
– Possess in-depth knowledge of Eritrea’s history, institutional setting, legislation, and economy
– Have Tigrinya as a mother language, and fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic and French is an asset
– Excellent drafting skills and the ability to translate complex texts
– Proficiency in standard IT tools (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
– Exceptional interpersonal skills and flexibility to work in an international environment
