This bursary aims to support students who demonstrate academic excellence, coupled with a commitment to contributing to these vital sectors. We understand the financial challenges faced by many students and, therefore, prioritize those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Bursary Criteria:
1. South African Citizenship:
Applicants must be South African citizens to be eligible for the bursary.
2. Financial Standing:
All applicants must be in good financial standing with their respective universities, with no outstanding fees from previous academic years.
3. Preference for Disadvantaged Backgrounds:
Preference will be given to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds, recognizing the importance of fostering diversity and equal opportunities.
4. Income Limit:
The combined household income of applicants must not exceed R 360,000.00 per annum.
5. Academic Excellence:
Applicants must have a proven track record of academic excellence.
6. Acceptance to Approved Institutions:
Applicants should have been accepted to study at an approved institution or a South African public university.
7. Completion of First Year:
Only students who have successfully completed their first year of study will be considered; no first-year or postgraduate students will be eligible.
