After completing junior high school in 2008, Priscilla started her journey by selling bofrot with just GH 50. Through hard work and determination, she managed to save enough money to enroll at Atebubu Senior High School in 2012. The path was challenging as she balanced academics and entrepreneurship to support herself and her younger brother’s education.
Facing financial constraints, Priscilla worked tirelessly, selling bofrot during the day and studying at night. Her dedication and determination were evident in her words: “It was not easy, but I was determined to make it.” Her story becomes a beacon of inspiration, defying socio-economic constraints to attain higher education.
Priscilla’s achievements defy statistics, challenging the gender gap in education. According to the World Bank, only 18% of women in Ghana have completed secondary education or higher, compared to 28% of men.
