Department of Education and Psychology Celebrates Distinguished Retirees

The Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) recently organized a heartwarming send-off party to honor three esteemed retirees who collectively dedicated 26 years of exceptional service to the department. The retirees celebrated at the event were Dr. Stephen Baafi-Frimpong, Senior Lecturer; Madam Gloria Sarfo, Chief Administrative Assistant; and Mr. Palmas Anyagre, Senior Lecturer.

The occasion was marked by expressions of gratitude and admiration from both current and former faculty members of the department, who spoke eloquently about the retirees’ contributions. Dr. Baafi-Frimpong, in his farewell message, shared valuable insights, encouraging lecturers to foster positive relationships with their students and uphold discipline in the classroom. He emphasized the importance of unity among staff for the continued success of the department.

In congratulatory remarks, Prof. Mark Kwaku Owusu Amponsah, the Head of the Department, commended the retirees for their many years of dedicated service to the Department and the University of Cape Coast. He expressed his best wishes for their future endeavors and hoped that they would continue to contribute their wealth of experiences to the development of the Department.
